Best Management Practices (BMPs) for preventing the introduction and spread of invasive species were developed specifically targeting four types of activity: Forestry, Recreation, Urban Forestry and Rights-of-Way. The four manuals are available at the Wisconsin Council on Forestry website.
The voluntary BMPs outlined in the manuals can be expanded to guide other types of land use activities and minimize the riskof spreading or introducing invasive species. Additional invasive species BMP information is available through the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources website along with handouts targeting more specific user groups.
