Technology Libraries – Borrow A GPS Unit

Wisconsin is fortunate to have citizens who care about our natural resources. There are several citizen-based monitoring (CBM) programs that use data collected by volunteers (for a list of programs, please check out the CBM website.) Technology libraries have been established throughout the state that lend one or more Garmin eTrex Legend GPS units to be used in monitoring any type of natural resource whether or not that monitoring is part of a CBM program. One benefit of becoming a member of a program is that they have protocols developed for monitoring specific resources (water, insects, reptiles, invasive plants, etc.).
