Invasive Plants Identification Resources

There are a number of great resources out there to assist you in identifying invasive plant species. Here are a few of our favorites:

  • The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has a great webpage to help you identify invasive species. View their photo gallery.
  • Another great resource for identifying invasive plants is the UW-Extension Weed Identification & Management webpage.
  • The University of Wisconsin Cooperative Extension and the University of Wisconsin Agronomy Department are please to present a series of videos to help with the identification of several invasive plants.
  • The Morton Arboretum have also created a series of videos to help with the identification of several invasive plants.
  • A superlative resource by Elizabeth Czarapata, Invasive Plants of the Upper Midwest – An Illustrated Guide to Their Identification and Control, a comprehensive book to help with the identification and control of invasive species in our region. You can order this book from us.
